In August 2014, Little Paxton Parish Council planted an English Oak tree and unveiled a plaque to commemorate all those who gave their lives serving their country in World War 1. This coincided with the 100th anniversary of the start of the Great War.
Twelve months on, the Parish Council has installed two commemorative benches beside the plaque.

Located on Samuel Jones Crescent, the two benches were funded by Little Paxton Parish Council and CHS Group.

In 2007, Little Paxton Parish Council Parish Council adopted a Parish Plan to help identify needs and improve existing amenities/facilities in the village. The Plan was prepared after an extensive village consultation.
This was done in conjunction with a Parish Plan Steering Group and the Parish Council. All the Action points for the 2007 Plan were completed.
Parish Clerk Jenny Gellatly said ,'The number of dwellings and population in the village has increased significantly and the 2007 Parish Plan now needs to be refreshed and updated'.
The Parish Council would like to set up a new Steering group to help achieve this. The aim of the Steering Group would be to consult with village residents by means of a questionnaire and collate the results to form a new Community Led Plan & Action Plan.
The questionnaire in 2007, which covered a broad range of issues, was delivered to every household in the village and collected a couple of weeks later. Now with modern technology, the process may be made easier.
One member of the original Parish Plan Steering group has volunteered to help with the new plan. A few more volunteers are needed to set up the Steering Group.
If you are interested in being part of the Steering Group, please contact the Clerk on Tel 01480 470193 or email email@example.com.
